Today, it's raining where we are! We can't go to the playground even if it was nice out! However, we are thankful that we are able to be home and healthy and doing are part! However, we do have lots of cardboard around our home! The kids miss the park...and SO we decided to ask the question...do we have the tools to build an INDOOR cardboard slide! Do you have tape? Pillows? Cardboard? And maybe a bike helmet just in case ;)! Then I think the answer is yes! If you don't have enough cardboard, build one for your stuffed animal or lego character! Start building! Don't forget to share your videos and/or photos! Here are the instructions:
This one is a crazy one! WHAT if you were swallowed by a whale? Now, you might find this question as a random question; however, in our house we have Disney movie nights! Pinocchio came up as an option, which, you can guess it...led to the question: Could you really be swallowed by a whale and survive? We weren't the first to ask this WHAT IF question. James Bartley claims to have been survived just this! Tap on the link and see if it's possible!
Where to go today? Well, it's actually a beautiful day outside and I am happy to stay at home and be outside! YAHOO! However, on those days that the clouds set in and rain prevents us from going outside...head to a National Park! Last summer, we went to Yosemite and enjoyed every moment! Tell me your favorite part of the park! Lately, we have been noticing a lot of wildlife outside of our home! As a matter a fact, today, we discovered a bunny nest in our front yard! I guess that means no whiffle ball practice for awhile! This made us wonder why do bunnies/birds and many other animals have babies in the spring? Well, we looked no further than Mystery Doug for our answer! The photos are of our home and the babies that are being born! Click on the button below to discover: Why do birds lay eggs in the spring? I love this book and the mission behind it!
“Sofia Valdez, Future Prez” - read by @iamginatorres “Sofia Valdez, Future Prez” by @andreabeatyauthor, illustrated by @dr.illustration (published by @abramskids) THIRTY MILLION CHILDREN rely on school for food. There is no maximum and there is no minimum—together we will rise and together we can help. . Thank you and stay safe. XX #SAVEWITHSTORIES I think these builds are OUTSTANDING! Here's your challenge build something amazing...not just a tower, but a design! Share it with us! I wish I had this many coins, but I do have a few! I am just going to while away the hours balancing or stacking these few coins I am so amazed by these artists skills. Using nothing more than their own raw skills, some coins, and sometimes other things like mugs, they makes some incredible coin-stack pieces of art.
Prepare to be absolutely amazed...and then try to create your own! Don't forget to share them with us! Happy Earth Day! If there is one rainbow in this pandemic it is the health of our Mother Earth. So many of our choices, actions and devotions are making our world a better, healthy and sustainable place to inhabit! In thinking of this "Birthday" for our Earth, our family WONDERed: How old is the Earth anyways? What a good wonder! Our friend, Doug, has a great explanation and activity for you all to do on this AMAZING Earth DAY!
Some of you know my favorite movie is "The Sound of Music". My dream vacation is to Austria, Switzerland and beyond! Well, if we can go there now, let's go there via a VIRTUAL train ride. The trip starts in St. Moritz, Switzerland on a perfectly sunny day and ends in Tirano, Italy via the high-mountain Bernina Pass. Sit back with an Italian-style caffè and watch as the train cuts through picturesque villages and rumbles alongside dizzying cliffs and sparkling blue waters. Along the way, you’ll break a few records — albeit virtually: It is the highest railway alpine crossing in Europe and the highest adhesion railway on the continent. It's meditational with some music and tea! Safe Travels!
It's time for a mystery friends! When we were going through our home library, we came across the book, "The Book of What If...?" by Murrie and McHugh. We had some fun reading through some pages! Let me know if you have any WHAT IF questions! Maybe we can create some experiments to go along with your what if's! Here's our Mystery Question today
WHAT IF WE COULD BE YOUNG FOREVER? Scientist Aubrey De Grey says WE can...hmmm. Watch his interview below! Let me know what you think! If we could live forever, we could learn whatever we wanted!
